Hi!!!!
It is now my 4th day in Sweden but it feels like i have been here for much longer! Everything is great and i am very happy to be here. I'll just give a quick rundown of what i have been up too...

First, the flights, which let me tell you were the worst flying experience i have ever had. First of all i was sick and inside my nose became really dry, and started bleeding. It was so painful to breathe that i could not sleep the first flight which was 13 hours!!!!!!! i just watched movies and tried to inconspicously put vaseline in my nose....hahaha. Then i finally landed at doha, qatar and let me tell you it was the strangest place i had ever been. Just as we were leaving the flight the flight attendants informed us that we were not allowed to drink or eat in the airport because it was ramadan and it was a serious offence! So that was fun....and the place itself was like a different world. The ground was sand and all of the buildings were sand coloured too....I was going to take photos but i could not be bothered.

Once i boarded the flight i was informed that we were going to be 15 mins delayed, which was a problem because i only had ONE HOUR to get from landing in stockholm to flying to umeå so i was a little bit stressed. Also there were men on the flight who were begging the flight attendent to let them smoke on the plane.....Otherwise the flight was ok because i actually managed to sleep through most of it and the girl i sat next too was lovely and from Japan so i was excited to talk to her as I might be going there next year! Then we landed and that's when the stress began....

We landed at about a quater to 2 and my next flight was at 2.55 so i was quite stressed about making it on time, so i was pretty much running to get to the baggage pick up thingo. Once i got there though, i think about a thousand bags went through the baggage pick up thingy before mine finally came at 2.30!! so i was quite stressed as you can imagine and had to sprint through the airport while carrying luggage of about 50kg of weight! I finally got to check in and my luggage had to go on special luggage cos i was too late to check in...but then i got a nice suprise as Anna B and Dedi who were going to greece had waited at arlanda to see me before i took my flight to umeå! I couldnt chat for long though as it was 2.45 and i was meant to be boarding at 2.30.....so i quickly ran through security and made it on to the flight as like the last passenger.

The last flight was fine because i was by myself in a row so i could stretch out my legs and chill and i was really glad that i had made it on to my flight but really exhausted as well.

Then finally i landed and i was met at the airport by my dear friends Elin, Linnea, Evelina, Freyja and Freyja's dad Björn! It was so nice to see everyone again and to be back in Umeå. we had all decided previously to have some afternoon tea at Freyja's house (where I am staying) so we hopped in the car and i got to see all the things i love about Sweden like the houses made of wood, in bright colours like yellow and red, children playing outside on the trampoline, really really green grass.....something we dont have much of in Australia anymore. We picked up Freyjas friend My on the way and once we got to Freyjas we had a lot of food and interesting conversation. After fika freyja and i watched some episodes of skins (or maybe i should say Freyja watched them and i napped) and after a while we decided to go to bed.

The next day i woke up at about 10 o clock and had a very Swedish breakfast of sandwiches with Freyja's stepmother, Susannah. After breakfast I got to take a really nice long shower which is something that doesnt happen much in australia. After that i called up my friends and arranged to go to the town with them. At a´bout 2 oclock Elin came with my really good friend Niklas who i was really glad to see and took us in her car to town! There we met Evelina and did a little bit of shopping and arranged some banking stuff. I also had Frasses for lunch which is like the better version of McDonalds and i was really excited to eat my burger and chips...hahah. We also met a lot of Niklas's friends as he is the most popular guy in town, but it was fine because everyone i met was really nice! At about 5 i left my friends and took a bus to ersboda where Freyja was having a taco night with friends from her new class. It was really nice to meet them and they all were very welcoming even though i was a random. Then at about 7 we were picked up by evelina and went to ålidhem for a little bit. I bought my first Swedish lollies at Stattoil and i was really happy to taste them again. Then we went to Niklas's house and chilled with Elin, Niklas, Linnea and Niklas' friend Caro and Sabina. Freyja and I caught the last bus home and got home at about 2 o clock.

The next day (saturday) Freyja and i went shopping, and i was really excited as it was my first time going to Monki which has really really nice clothes! We met up with Niklas and his friends again for a little bit and then we met up with Evelina and her friend Hanna and then later Elin and her friends!!!!!! As you can see I am having a very social time. Björn wanted us to go to the movies with him so we saw Salt with Angelina Jolie and it was actually better than i thought it would be. Then we came home and watched a little bit of the devil wears prada but i was really tired so i went to bed pretty early.

Now it is Sunday and i have just woken up, but i think i might be seeing my friend Anna later with Evelina and Elin.

On Friday I am going to Göteborg with Freyja to see her sister Runa and then to Kiruna and Luleå by myself to see my Farmor(Grandma) and uncles and cousins.

I have been having such a nice time and I really love it here in Umeå. It is funny that being here is actually making me miss being here all the time!

To mum: I am sorry i spent a hundred dollars on itunes. I will pay it back!
